BASEBALL in the Delegation of Todos Santos is a passion with a long history that has taken some of our young people on to play in the major leagues.

In 2016, our Organization received a donation from the International Community Foundation in the amount of $7,500 USD to help revive the Liga de Béisbol Infantil-Juvenil “Ramon Zurdo Mtz.”, a league of 6 teams including participants from all of Todos Santos and El Pescadero as well as several outlying rural communities.  This donation allowed us to provide new uniforms for every player in the league as well as to provide a pitching machine and equipment.

In 2017, we received an additional $3,000 USD from the Gonzalez Family fund in order to continue to support Baseball in Todos Santos. Of great significance is our participation in the development of a local team to participate in the Women’s Soft Ball league.

Vida y Prosperidad Todos Santos, A.C. believes that the development of sports programs will contribute to combat obesity, develop community participation and foment team building.  We have also observed that sports programs help reduce drug usage and petty crime.

In coordination with the local sports community, Vida y Prosperidad Todos Santos, A.C. will use the requested funds to:

  • Offering continuing support of the newly formed women’s soft ball team with uniforms and equipment.
  • Provide new equipment where needed for area teams.
  • Provide Team Uniforms, to new league players.
  • Provide funding for transportation for teams and managers to distant league games.
  • Work to help build the league and encourage local participation and support.
  • Reinforce the structure of the volunteer leadership and coaching staff.
  • Offer support to the Asociación de Padres de Familia (Parents association).
